If you're looking for something a little different and are film fan, then the below extract from the classic film 'The Princess Bride' has become a popular choice for many as part of their ceremony.
I personally love this idea. Taking sections from your favourite movie, book or song will only make your ceremony more unique to you as a couple.
“Do I love you? My God, if your love were a grain of sand, mine would be a universe of beaches… I have stayed these years in my hovel because of you. I have taught myself languages because of you. I have made my body strong because I thought you might be pleased by a strong body. I have lived my life with only the prayer that some sudden dawn you might glance in my direction. I have not known a moment in years when the sight of you did not send my heart careening against my rib cage. I have not known a night when your visage did not accompany me to sleep. There has not been a morning when you did not flutter behind my waking eyelids…
I love you. Okay? Want it louder? I love you. Spell it out, should I? I ell-oh-vee-ee why-oh-you. Want it backward? You love I…
I’ve been saying it so long to you, you just wouldn’t listen. Every time you said, ‘Farm Boy, do this’, you thought I was answering, ‘As you wish’, but that’s only because you were hearing wrong. ‘I love you’ was what it was, but you never heard.”

Colour is exploding everywhere as Spring is in full swing and Summer is just around the corner! So what better way to celebrate than by showcasing this bright and colourful wedding shoot I put together at Sloans, Glasgow last August.
The inspiration for the shoot began mainly from my love of colour; the brighter and bolder the better! Too often couples tend to shy away from a colourful palette for their wedding and I wanted to show how colour can work and you shouldn't be scared of it. When considering a setting for the shoot, Sloan's had immediate appeal. The dark woods and moody atmosphere felt like the perfect backdrop to make the colours I had in mind really stand out.
When deciding on suppliers, my first port of call was the wonderful Wendy of Flossy and Dossy, who had made my own beautiful bespoke wedding dress. I had no doubt I wanted to get Wendy on board, her dresses are beyond stunning and when I explained what I was looking for, Wendy made the dress especially for this shoot.
The beautiful flower arrangements were put together by Melanie of Briar Rose Design, who's work I'd came across through a shoot she did where the model had a swimming cap made purely from flowers! I had to get her involved from that moment.
For creating the cake, I contacted Jennifer of For Goodness Cake who I had used for my own wedding cupcakes the year before - she did an amazing job and I really wanted to showcase her incredible talents.
I had seen both Gillian of Pin Up Hair and Cat Robertson's fabulous work in other shoots they had been part of alongside Wendy and was keen to work with them because of that.
One of the key elements of the shoot was the huge round colourful balloons. They really stand out and can be used not only as decor but a great alternative for bouquets in photographs, plus who doesn't love balloons at any celebration?? When I got in touch with Leona and Kellyann of Le Lumiere explaining what I was looking for, they were thrilled to get involved and take part.
Our photographer Julia Graham was recommended by Wendy, she had worked with her before and felt Julia would be a great fit for what I had in mind.
Finally I'm proud to say the model from the shoot is my very own sister Natalie Leask, who done a fantastic job on the day!
